JetBlue to land in Austin
Upstart airline adding nonstops to New York, Boston.

JetBlue Airways is coming to Austin, with nonstop service to New York and Boston starting in January. JetBlue's Texas entrance is part of an ambitious expansion plan by the fastest-growing major U.S. airline.

Starting Jan. 19, JetBlue will have three daily nonstops to JFK International Airport in New York and one to Logan International in Boston.

It is the airline's most ambitious expansion in its six-year life. Like other discount carriers, JetBlue is seeking to fill voids left by larger network carriers, which have been slowing or cutting back domestic capacity and focusing on more lucrative international flights.

:kick: Note: Jet Blue is the highest rated Airline that contributes to Democrats per Buyblue.org at 68%. (Frontier 67% and Hawaiian Holdings 100% contributed less)

I have flown Frontier a couple of times because of their buyblue rating. Nice to see that JetBlue is an option finally. :bounce:

2. Good consumer catch there, melissinha!
Have you posted that in the NY and Massachusetts forums? I know when I lived in Massachusetts I would have appreciated knowing Jet Blue was a) a blue company, and b) had flights to Austin, the coolest music city in America (after New Orleans :().

3. good point
You look into buyblue.org, gives you a lot of insight into these things.... I just remembered seeing Jetblue's rating there. But you are right Massachusetts and NY people will be delighted to learn this news, and also to learn that this great company is growing so well.

A New Yorker coworker was so happy about this she couldn't stop talking about it...... They even have a gate assignment here in Austin!
