Tuesday, 10/25 7:30 p.m. Astros and City Council Candidates
Please distribute to your peers and members of your Democratic Party clubs.

Voting rights and baseball, great American traditions. Let's fight to keep voting rights from becoming a tradition of the past.

We will update the forum attendees with the score of the Astros game as it changes. Portable listening devices are welcome.

THE REMAINDER OF THE ASTROS GAME WILL BE BROADCAST IN THE AUDITORIUM AFTER THE FORUM!

Tuesday, October 25 at 7:30 p.m. the Rice University Young Democrats and The Progressive Populist Caucus of the Texas Democratic Party invite Houston City Council candidates to hear a brief presentation on the Election Reform Committee of the Harris County Democratic Party's position regarding the necessity for a voter verifiable paper trail with our Hart Intercivic electronic voting system. Download a flyer for the event.

We will then encourage questions and dialogue from city council candidates on this issue.

Confirmed candidates include Jay Ayier, Peter Brown, Adrian Garcia, Ron Green, Charles Ingram, Mark Lee, Sue Lovell, John Parras, Mike Stoma, Jack Terence and Larry Williams.

The City of Houston has the authority to build into its contracts for voting systems/services used in city elections provided by Harris County and therefore Council members can influence the direction of such a requirement.

Duncan Hall is located inside Entrance One at the intersection of Main and Sunset. When you the reach Founder's Court (the lawn in front of Lovett Hall that terminates the main drive), Duncan Hall is visible to the right. You will recognize it from the gray column capitals, the blue rails and logs, and those amazing yellow balustrades.

Visitor parking is available in the lots on either side of the Founder's Court. A credit card is required.

Event Fee: Donations to Rice University are tax deductible and greatly appreciated. All proceeds will directly benefit the Rice University Young Democrats.
