Tonight at 5:30 pm tonight KPFT to report on City Council Candidates Forum
Edited on Wed Oct-26-05 05:19 PM by Smarty Pants Liberal
Copied from an e-mail I just received...

Friends,

KPFT Local News will carry a brief news report on the City Council Candidates Forum regarding a Voter Verifiable Paper Audit Trail (VVPAT) between 5:30 and 6 pm this evening, by reporter Pokey Anderson.

KPFT is at 90.1 fm on the dial, or streaming live at http://www.kpft.org">www.kpft.org . News and commentary shows are archived at http://www.kpftx.org/archives/kpftsignal/index.php">http://www.kpftx.org/archives/kpftsignal/index.php

The forum was also recorded by KPFT for broadcast. Details will follow soon.

Thanks to the many attendees and candidates who turned out for the forum in spite of your strong desire to attend or watch another huge local event a few miles away. Given the turnout last night, I believe we would have had a standing room only crowd had that other event not occurred.

Best line of the evening: "What's more important? Democracy or baseball?"

I look forward to seeing you "in the street"
