Thanks for your efforts but Party rules are void in the Houston City Council race because the race is nonpartisan. One does not appear on the ballot as a Democrat, Republican, Green or even Royal Order of the Bedrock Poobahs.

This is why a Texas DNC member was able to endorse and support a known Republican in the last municipal election without suffering any repercusions from the Democratic Party.

I know the rule. If you are appointed to a Party office in an even year then you must have voted in the last Democratic primary but if you are appointed to a Party office in an odd year, there is no rule. This means that a person who voted in the last Republican primary or even just a known Republican could be appointed to or run for any Party office and win in 2005.

The candidate would not stand a chance if he called himself a Republican and is pimping the gullible Democrats to support him by periodically attending and speaking at local Democratic club meetings and schmoozing with the right DINOs for their support.

Just wanted to get ya'll to see the evidence by being a little evasive and providing links. Sorry for the confusion.

Litt, the candidate posing as a Democrat is the one who took donations.

His opponent Lee, DEFINTELY a Democrat. No doubt in anyone's mind around these parts. Lee is the precinct chair and former senate district chair.

Please volunteer for Lee if you live in or near District C in Houston.

9. Not unlike how I feel about Al Green, ( whose NAME I 'll say)

who sat in a very safe Justice of the Peace position for 25 years, until Tom Delay redistricted a nice safe seat for him. So, he jumped into the Democratic primary and opposed Chris Bell and got himself a nice stash of cash from Delay & Company. Just doing the bidding of the Repukes.

Of course, once he won, he moved out of Shelia Jackson Lee's district, into an apartment. Couldn't challenge Ms Jackson Lee in a fair and square primary battle.

Hopefully, he is be a one-term traitor!!
