A little bird told me that Barbara Radnofsky's poll numbers...
are almost neck and neck with KBH. I can't substantiate this at the moment--- if I can later, I will.

But ain't that a tasty rumor?

3. KBH losing would be almost as good a street dance for me as Delay

being indicted. TD being convicted and wearing the orange jumpsuit would still be better...But I'm definitely up for both happening!

4. A word of caution
Campaigns sometimes fudge (or downright lie) about polling numbers in order to string along supporters. If she really was neck and neck with KBH, her campaign would be shouting it from the proverbial mountain tops. But such a claim would not endure public scrutiny, so they can only do it on the sly.

7. That's true, but....
let's just imagine for a minute if the poll were conducted by KBH's team...they would try and suppress the information and fudge the numbers they release to reflect the opposite results.

I'm just saying we don't know which camp the bird was from, do we?

5. I've heard
That the DSCC considers KBH's seat to be "in play" this year... and they're actually going to put some resources into it!
:woohoo:

8. Both the BAR and KBH camps cite the Survey USA polling as if it were good
news for their side. The true effect is debatable, but this much is clear (courtesy of Survey USA), Hispanic Texans have only wavering trust in KBH, the prospect of large crossover Democratic vote is fading over time, KBH is losing ground fast among Texas independents, the number Texas liberals who were willing to accept KBH is falling markedly, and KBH's popularity is suffering in her traditional strongholds in North and West Texas:

I suspect that KBH's involvement in the Katrina-Rita relief efforts gave her a bump in November, but she will pay dearly for her ties to DeLay and her sad efforts to excuse DeLay's lies. If I was BAR, I'd already have tons of low-cost print and internet ads out linking KBH to DeLay. I thing BAR's a GREAT candidate, but I think KBH is unbeatable unless the underlying views of many Texans can be fundamentally shifted and I thing KBH's disastrously disingenuous defense of DeLay on national TV can can be used as the engine for that fundamental shift.
