4. Damn I want to vote for two of them at least
Barton and Smith are both horrible. I voted for Smokey Joe, even though Lamar Smith is my suck ass congressman. The reason being that Smokey Joe by virtue of his position on the Energy and Commerce committee, has done more harm to Texans as a whole. Smith may make my life hell and vote lock step with DeLay, but Smokey Joe literally is killing Texans with his pollution support.

Smokey Joe has got to go!

Smith does too though.

8. Joe Barton ethically challenged
http://www.dallasnews.com/sharedcontent/dws/news/politics/national/stories/DN-texwatch_15nat.ART.State.Edition2.3f3ab6b.html
Barton invites lobbyists all aboard
Despite recent hand-wringing over lobbying abuses, U.S. Rep. Joe Barton has no qualms about spending next weekend with lobbyists and other high-dollar backers. He's got a special time planned for anyone willing to spend $2,000 for a seven-hour private train ride Friday from Fort Worth to San Antonio.

"During the ride, we'll have lots of time to talk, play some Texas Hold 'Em, and enjoy some great down home Texas food," reads the glossy, six-panel invitation to "Joe Barton's 2006 Texas Train Ride." "This is about as good as it gets."

In San Antonio, donors will have brunch Saturday with the Ennis Republican, chairman of the powerful Energy and Commerce Committee and – since former Majority Leader Tom DeLay's fall from grace – the top-ranking Texan in the House. He and his guests will also have cocktails, an evening tour of the Alamo, dinner and breakfast on Sunday.

"Man, sounds like fun," said Craig McDonald, director of Texans for Public Justice. "Don't you usually give 'em just one chicken dinner? That's a pretty good return for $2,000."

Sounds like that weasel Smokey Joe wants to fill DeLay's shoes. I bet most of the wheeling and dealing, read quid pro quo, comes later in the finance cycle. I say make them prison sized shoes for both Barton and DeLay.

11. I say we have a a national effort - every rep who votes 95%+ with DeLay
...gets referred to as a 'Tom DeLay bootlicker' in his or her district election.

Time to take Tom 'nationwide'.

15. Welcome to DU gimama!
Unfortunately all (with the exception of Paul) of the republicans in the Texas Congressional delegation vote lock step with DeLay. There isn't a signal one of them that is going to vote against their party and DeLay. They only care about keeping their jobs.

Paul is a Libertarian who classifies himself as a republican in Congress. I'll give him credit for doing the right thing occasionally, but I do not agree with the Libertarian philosophy of no government.

13. NoogieBooger is mine
We lost Charlie Steinholm for this guy after Delay's redistricting disaster. Steinholm was one of the last nonpartisan representatives. He actually voted his constiuents way not the party's. He was a Democrat but voted pretty conservative, as is his district. Our district will regret losing him when Congress decides to gut aid to farmers this year. That's okay, we have a good christian man now. God Bless America. NoogieBooger took two weeks to visit the community of Cross Plains after the wildfires that destroyed 100 building & homes.

14. I was tempted to vote for my so-called "representative"
but chose Smokey Joe instead because of his leadership position, seniority, influence and arrogance. He is capable of far more damage than your rank-and-file rubberstamper.

16. As a young pup in 1994...
I met Mr. Bonilla and basically argued for 20 mins about voting for Clinton. I was in DC on an internship and made an appointment to meet my rep. Didn't get to have my photo taken with him (like I did the summer before with Lamar). Also had to "chat" with his brainwash aide as I left...guy was trying to explain to me why the republican party was good for the Texas hispanics...yeah right. Since then I've never liked Bonilla. Mom and I still shake our heads every time he comes up (she met him when he visited her bank, she wasn't impressed either). Same assumption...resembles a tropical fruit.

20. I'm sorry I can't be objective.
I have to pick Sessions because he is MY representative. What a major-league, ass-kissing, useless piece of right-wing excrement.
