Recommendation for Texas Dem Party Grassroots Training
Went to a seminar this weekend and it was terrific. The presenters went over the hierarchy of the Democratic party, as well as some points on addressing arguments and points.

1. Good news
A lot of counties don't take advantage of the grassroots training. Some don't even know that it's there, so it's good to see that you got to participate. Knowledge is power. You have to know how the system works to take advantage of it. It's your party!

2. More info please
Where was this held? Who hosted it? Is it offered all over the state?

I went to Democracy Fest last summer & also DFA-Dallas training. I want to know if I'm missing out on anything.

3. Here's the website for the info-Texas Democrats
http://www.txdemocrats.org/getinvolved/grassrootsguide/scheduletraining/index.php

Dennis Teal, listed on the page, was the main speaker.

This was held in Hood County-it's my understanding that you can email the people on the page and ask to have a grassroots training held in your county. There were quite a few people from several counties that attended this.

5. Thanks so much
It just so happens that last night I had sent an email to one of our local SDEC members about another training issue. I will ask about this grassroots training too.

Glad you found it worthwhile, and thanks for spreading the word.:7
