Andy had some changes to his Texas itinerary and we're having to move the get together to Saturday night around 7ish. I'm back to working on a venue. Thanks to all who made suggestions in the previous thread.

2. Saturday is better for me but...

I wonder if the venue situation is worse on a popular night for eating out. I would still try La Feria, if nothing else works for you. I don't think either Friday or Saturdays are super packed for them like Thursday night.

There is another S. Austin eatery with a patio called Polvos with good food and beer but their patio is very small, something like the size of Curras on Oltorf. So you could end up taking up the whole thing.

I am SO jazzed about the Edwards VP pick!! I FINALLY have something I can vote FOR in November, rather than just something to vote AGAINST (namely Dubya) in November.

I was an Edwards supporter at the start, a Dean supporter in the middle, and an Edwards supporter at the end after Dean dropped out. My promary vote here went to Edwards.

Edwards speaks my language, just as Dean did. His talk of the "Two Americas" is right on target! We are taking back our country in November!!

Terrorists may have hijacked four airplanes on 9/11...but, since 9/11, BushCo has hijacked the entire nation!

16. That's exactly why I loved the show too, Tom

It is a classic battle of humanity. It had all the elements of greed and power that are the dark side of a society. It takes people willing to break away (from the ruling government) and do the right thing to win a cultural war for the soul of humanity. I think your comparison of bunnypants* and the Centauri Emperor Cartagia is a really good one. They are both delusional about approaching godhood and selling out to the Shadows, which I will compare to the neo-cons.

Also think about the media being censored. This was central for Clark (Chenney) to keep control of Earth Forces, they controlled the media and what they said. When a reporter tried to report the truth, they were beaten and dragged away from their station.

Tom, If you have a Fry's in your neck of the woods they run specials on box sets pretty often and they will run a season box set for 1/2 the regular price which is a good deal.
