Goodhair spam
Edited on Fri Jan-20-06 11:51 PM by Stil
I don't get much spam anymore. And have taking steps to keep my e-mail off list. Anyways I have received maybe 3 in the last couple years. :woohoo: So I was kind of surprised to receive one from the present governor. Being a long time memember of Cauce and any form of spam really ticks me off. It prompted a return to old days. Dragging thru e-mail lists (UCE@ftc etc ) Reporting it as spam to my ISP. (Just wish others would do the same. They might actually do something. I can wish anyways.) I know when they crafted the present Texas laws and the "can spam act" they did leave loopholes for political ads. But I figured why not get stupid. I cited and quoted what I believe might cause at least some confusion. The can spam act, if the list was derived from an alphabet attack or web harvesting is listed as a violation. And the Texas law which says Unsolicited bulk email was supposed to have the first four letters ADV: in the subject line. With the list made, the copy of the email including headers, the relevent laws, a short statement of disgust they had used a Known Florida Spammer to send them out. I added one last address his contact email from his re-election site. So far at least no State Troopers at the door. ;-)

(Edit: But it did feel good sending it.
