It's a good thing those union workers were there to stand up for those scabs who choose not to belong to the union, yet partake in all of the benefits the union works to provide.

Talks between management and Local 1091 of the Amalgamated Transit Union had broken down on Sunday. That had left the door open for the union to follow through on a strike scheduled for noon today.
But a Capital Metro spokeswoman says overnight talks produced a compromise that was scheduled to be signed later today.
About 850 workers are covered by the union contract, and about 700 belong to the union.more
