Hutchison War Chest Tops $7.5 Million
Sen. Kay Bailey Hutchison, R-Texas, has more than $7.8 million to spend on her bid for a third six-year term, her campaign said Tuesday.

Records show Hutchison raised $819,000 during the final three months of last year.

That boosted the amount Hutchison has raised since her 2000 re-election to about $5.4 million.

Hutchison faces no opposition in the Republican primary.

1. It will take more than money to win.
She has done absolutely nothing to distinguish herself in twelve years. If memory serves she also promised to serve no more than two terms, but that is another story. We need to send her to the old cheerleader's home, where she can swap war stories with ex governor goodhair.

2. We need a watch dog, not a lap dog.
KBH is nothing but a chearleader for Bush. A lap dog for the administration.

3. Radnofsky, for US Senate
I heard this woman speak last night, and she had something to say! Barbara Radnofsky, if she can get her message out she can beat KBH IMHO.

4. Getting her message out will be difficult with
only $135,000 in cash on hand. Texas is very large state with many meida markets.

5. Getting message out
This is of course the tricky part, but the room was full last night! And people were fired up, and maybe with enough boots and a good message she'll prevail. I certainly plan to work for her, KBH has to go.

7. Her website doesn't allow for contributions via check
I would love to contribute to her campaign, but not via credit card.

6. Strayhorn has $8 million
So it's no surprise. She's an incumbent and has never had to use that war chest so she keeps raking in the money from the industry that wants to keep her bought.

Folks we will never match them on the money. Our best hope is to get our message out with grassroots efforts and fan the flame of reform.

8. There is a difference between matching your opponent's fundraising and
raising enough to get your message out.
