Demo county chairman blocked from primary, cash (Bexar)
There's a lot more there than this story covers and our San Antonio people maybe can chime in and fill us in. I remember there was quite a bit of coverage of the lawsuit last fall from The Jeffersonian.

Just Another Matt has the first blog post

And then Burnt Orange Report picked up on it as well

The Democratic activists who sued the party's county chairman last fall won a temporary restraining order this week that — to a large extent — puts them in control of the party's primary and its finances.

While that is good news for the 30 plaintiffs, county officials worry that the order could unhinge the March 7 primary.

County Judge Nelson Wolff said Wednesday the county will intervene in the case.

In a court filing, the plaintiffs accused Chairman Rudy Casias of continuing to ignore the party's elected precinct chairmen, who make up the county executive committee. Many of the people who brought the suit are precinct leaders

1. Sounds like Hamas vs. Fatah
And the winners are the Republicans. I don't know of a better way to resolve the issues, but this certainly is not my first choice.

2. Oh, that's bad.
Of course, we went through a similiar bloody jihad with OUR county chair last spring, but thankfully, it's mostly in the past now.

What is it with this disease of precinct chairs getting violently unhappy with their party chairs? I believe there's a pretty bitterly contested election going on over in Tarrant right now too.
