Ms. Ashling (my "better half") arrived in Austin this afternoon. She starts her job w/ the state on Monday. I will be down in a couple of weeks.

2. Have you lived in Austin before?

4. We lived in South Austin

off of Wm. Cannon & Brodie for a year then moved to a place in North Austin for a year. Then we moved out to the country halfway between Llano & Fredericksburg, about 7 miles from enchanted rock.

We still have our place in Llano County, but will be renting in Austin.

What part of town did you choose?

5. Melodie is down there right now looking for a place

She has looked at several apt. complexes. We are also interested in a small house if we can find one.

Melodie starts monday with the Texas Department of Housing & Community Affairs.

I will probably substitute in AISD and surrounding school Districts. I did that some when we lived there before. I almost went into teaching,lo those many years ago, but chose law school instead (a youthful indescretion)

Now that my bosses are direct Gubernatorial appointees, I'm not going to mention the actual agency here. :-)

The house next door to me is for rent. ;-)

I will not be in Austin until August.

My daughter is going to Boston with the Washington Delegation and gets back here on the 31st. The plan (did I say "plan"?) is to leave here the next day if possible.
