Let's Send Mr. Morrison to Washington!


Richard is flying out to DC this week to visit with the Democratic Congressional Caucus so we're holding a fundraising drive with the goal of sending Richard back to Washington next year as a Congressman!

The news on the campaign trail is good -- third party polling continues to show DeLay's reelect number is below 50%, our latest FEC filing shows that we have outraised all previous challengers to DeLay and our volunteers are busy and organized!

And DeLay's troubles continue to mount -- last week the Washington Post published Enron emails showing that DeLay personally solicited corporate cash for the Texas Redistricting effort. A number of prominent news paper editorial boards including the Austin American-Statesman and the Dallas Morning News joined the call for an independent counsel to investigate the charges currently before the US House Ethics Committee.

He will need money for ads in the Houston media market. Grassroots campaigning can only take you so far, especially when your opponent is a crook and a well-established politician.

3. He's getting it from people all over the U.S,

and has been for several months. People will do just about anything to get DeLay out. Morrison is one of the Dean Dozen so he's gotten lots of exposure.
