1. I was going to accuse him of being a carpetbagging Texan but I

see he was born in Plano (former rival of my hs Richardson). Anyway, I became a nonfan when he divorced his first wife. Too Hollywood now. I am sure he so cares.

2. Lance gets a lot of press here in Austin.

I haven't heard anything to suggest that the divorce wasn't a mutual decision. And he decided not to participate in the Olympics so that he could spend more time with his kids.

4. Big congratulations to Lance!

He's a cancer survivor, a great athlete and a person with a really big desire to win.

Plus I think a good cultural world ambassador. He's not a republican folks! His politics are center to the left and he makes us look good. He says he would live in France if he left the U.S.

His divorce from his wife Kristen was cordial. She wanted it more than him, because of the strain of his sport on family life. Also he's an atheist and she's very religious. He still has a very close relationship with his kids.

that he's not a Republican. I had always read about his friendship with Bush and thought I remembered him campaigning for him years ago or speaking on his behalf. I just read more about his politics (and friendship with Bush), though, thanks to your post. I am so relieved that I was wrong.

7. Yes she's the woman in his life now

And he's the man in her life too. Heard he's going out on tour with her. Robin Williams and Will Smith have been great to see too. Robin is a big Lance supporter who is so incredibly funny.
