Where Does the Bush 2 Library Go Come January
Edited on Tue Jul-27-04 07:55 PM by salonghorn70
Since Kerry is going to be elected in November, where do you think the Bush 2 library will go?

THE UNIVERSITY, of course, already has the LBJ Library. That other place has the Bush 1 library. I wouldn't be at all surprised if he chooses to put it at THE UNIVERSITY. As much as I dislike Bush it would be a great addition to my beloved UT Campus. Bush 2 has attachments to UT. No other University in the country would be able to boast of two Presidential Libraries. Actually, no other state can boast of two except California. None can boast of three.

I can't think of any other University in Texas that has any connection to Bush. I guess the dark horse candidate would be Baylor since it is the closest to Crawford. But again Bush is Methodist so maybe SMU would be a really dark horse candidate. And the really really dark horse candidate would be Texas Tech since Bush lived in west Texas. The only problem with Tech is that those fun loving Red Raiders would probably throw tortillas at the exhibits.

3. I would think that the incoming
attorney general would like to get his hands on the bush crime papers for criminal prosecution.

13. I am simply dumbfounded that you would even suggest such a thing
A library is a library is a library?
NO
I protest this faulty logic.

any "library" of his will be so tainted by his vile evil meglomania that it would be a travesty to burden a beautiful campus like UT or a beautiful city like Austin with its presence. Not to mention that it has no business at any institution of learning. The purveyor of "no child left standing.?" The desecrator of higher learning and research?

No, No, a thousand timesNO

5. They had BETTER NOT desecrate my campus!!!!!!!
Let them build the comic book emporium in Baghdad, but NOT on the grounds of Texas Tech. University. If they do, I swear I'll be the first one to make the trip there to 'water' their plants!

But, I will piss in their planters, in broad daylight, while laughing hysterically! BTW, I hope that you took my T-sip comment in the other thread in the spirit in which it was meant (joking all the way, I am at A&Mx( ).:hi:

10. With some provisions, I agree...
There are some really cool liberal ags here at DU, and we actually found ourselves on the same thread a couple of weeks ago. It was fun and comforting to know that there is another side to ag life. Fortunately, I will be outta here in May, '05, or sooner, and then...I can go and spread my left wing liberal radical bias to all of my students from then on (evil laugh). Cheers, and Peace, my friend!:hippie:

18. Throwing Tortillas
I can't remember when it started (early 90s?) but those fun loving Techsters have been throwing tortillas onto the football field. That is the difference between a Longhorn and a fun loving Techster. Longhorns just eat the tortillas. :hi:

19. Thank you !
So, if I ride down to a game this fall I need to take a BIG stack of tortillas. 'Course back in the "old days" none of us ever did anything like that. We were all such angels.

11. UT & SMU don't have enough room for another building
These campuses are already packed.

Of course, they could put in in a janitors closet for all i care.

12. Not is Austin
How about between Midland and Odessa? That way I'll never have to drive near it.

I like Austin.

I've been to both Presidential Museums. I wouldn't consider a W museum "presidential".

14. LBJ - UT; Poppy - A&M; Baker - Rice; Dubya - BKU
BKU's still a small start up institution of higher learning and their website ain't much to look at (yet!). But I think it'd be the most fitting place to locate the GW Bush Presidential Library.

What they do there is everything that Duby's presidency has been supporting.

15. Why Texas at all?
Edited on Wed Jul-28-04 01:47 AM by ashling
I think it should be at Bob Jones or maybe Liberty.

on edit: They could have an exhibit on the Screwing of John McCain or perhaps : Standing up for the Flag: the Confederate Flag.

yes, Bob Jones is definitely Bush caliber.
