A word to precinct chairs about Kinky
A precinct chair can be removed if they support a candidate that is NOT a Democrat.

So, if you are a chair and want to endorse or support Stinky, do it without being a chair.

Just an FYI.

1. I love that rule
Chris Bell met with Houston bloggers tonight and I get the impression that he thinks Kinky's support will fade away as we get closer to the election.

He had a hilarious comment about Kinky:

"Kinky is a bit egomaniacal. This is rare in politics."

Chris has the dryest, funniest sense of humor that just cracks me up!

I would hope our precinct chairs don't even THINK about supporting Kinky. If that's the case, they might as well go work for the Perry campaign.

2. If any precinct chair supports kinky
I would personally get them off the rolls!

This is going to be a topic of discussion at my club meeting this week.

We dont need distractions. You are either a Democrat or a Republican, for Chris or Kinky. Make up your mind and join your right party.

3. There's a 'Democratic' club in CA that is soliciting $$$ for Ron Paul
WHO NEEDS AND DESERVES YOUR MONEY

Thank Dennis Kucinich, Jim McDermott, Ron Paul and Pete Stark for being the only consistent votes against the rush to war with Iran. To those who don't know, in February, the House voted overwhelmingly for a resolution "condemning the Government of Iran for violating its international nuclear nonproliferation obligations and expressing support for efforts to report Iran to the United Nations Security Council." While some others voted "present" and some did not vote, these four had the courage to stand up and be counted against this resolution fast-tracking the next war. In April, another bill looking like a declaration of war with Iran was approved by the House. These four, joined by others, voted against that. Then, in May, these four and others voted against a bill which appears to call for the overthrow of the elected government of Hamas. Pelosi lead the majority of Democrats in voting with the Republicans in support of all three of these bills. We are very proud of Dennis Kucinich, our Congressman of the Year, for leading the opposition to war against Iran and Palestine.

Everyone here is encouraged to donate to these four individuals who have consistently stood up as lone voices for peace. Their web sites are http://kucinich.us, http://www.mcdermottforcongress.com/, http://www.ronpaulforcongress.com/, and http://www.petestark.com/.

Hard to win in Texas when Democrats elsewhere are working against you.

4. That is pretty damn stupid.
Ron has a 33% re-election poll.

His opponent Shane Sklar is an absolutely great candidate. This guy has the entire package. Send HIM money.

Sometimes Dems can shoot themselves in both feet and then complain about having no disability access to buildings.

5. Texas Democrats should contact
the Orange County, CA Democratic party and urge them to prohibit their local clubs from raising money for Republicans: info@ocdemocrats.net

You know, I understand your infatuation with Ron Paul - he happens to be one of my favorite REPUBLICANS - but seeing this on your website:

The following four Representatives voted twice against legislation leading to war with Iran also against looting that $513 billion from our treasury to fund war profiteers: Dennis Kucinich, Jim McDermott, Ron Paul and Pete Stark. If you oppose war, show this with your pocketbooks by donating as much as you can or are allowed to donate to these courageous opponents of war. Also, demand that your Representative back an opponent of war with Iran for Democratic leader and whip.

Makes me want to scream. We have a good Democrat running against Ron Paul this year. Your statement makes me think that your County Democratic party should hold you accountable. Here in Texas (and I would think California also) Democrat clubs, party officials such as precinct chairs and such are not allowed to endorse and solicite money for other parties. If your county Democratic party doesn't hold you accountable - then your state Democratic party should hold them accountable. And if California Democrats don't hold you and your county accountable then the National Democratic party should yank any funds you get - and Orange County Democrats get if they don't hold you accountable and give the money to those who wouldn't undermine Democrats campaigning in other states.

8. You should have seen the flier I distributed in April
It was during the Radnofsky/Kelly runoff. Handed out anti-Kinky fliers encouraging remorseful Kinky backers to vote in the Democratic runoff and thus negate their signature on Kinky's petition. I don't think it got a lot of traction, but at least I tried.
