Check out this incredible unity post from both Bill Winter and John Courage on Burnt Orange Report. It gave me goose pimples reading it. What incredible candidates!

http://www.burntorangereport.com/showDiary.do?diaryId=1370
An Open Letter to Governor Mark Warner
In general circumstances, Courage supporters would fight tooth-and-nail for Winter, and Winter supporters would do the same for Courage. We're both challengers, we're both bringing the fight to incumbents who have left their (and our) districts as well as our nation behind, and we are both Fighting Dems.

In the military, we were taught to never leave a brother behind. And neither one of us wants to leave a fellow Fighting Dem behind either.

Governor Warner, we are both formally requesting a visit from you--please come join us for a fundraiser in Texas for John Courage as well as one for Bill Winter in Colorado.

We understand that this may be unusual and respect your rules of the contest--and if you cannot come to both of our states, may the best man win.

However, if you could accept our request, we would both be incredibly honored.
John Courage & Bill Winter

7. I don't mind the politicking
I DO mind the Texas-bashing.

Glad to hear that both candidates support each other. I hope the Governor can do fundraisers with both of them!

9. Moderator Comment
I was about to lock this thread until I saw this post.

If you wish to rally people to stand behind BOTH of these two wonderful fighting Dems, then please do so. But the goal is to raise the quality level of the debate, not thru tactics that Rove would approve. If you wish to show them what Texans are made of, then prove it by winning the vote, or better yet endorsing this wonderful proposal to get Gov. Warner to share the prize between these two. The goal of this contest has never been to set one candidate over another, but to raise awareness and the energy level for all of the Mapchanger candidates!

6. I notice that Courage's lead has grown five-fold since the anti-Courage
post in GD-politics.

I'm inclined to suspect that the Colorado forum (with 5,000 messages) is perhaps not as active as the Texas forum (with 34,000 messages) and so perhaps the post in GD-politics was a poor tactical decision.

I'm glad that Courage and Winter rose above the dispute.
