Bill Winter (CO-06) wins MapChanger contest
Well I'm disappointed that my candidate John Courage did not win, but I think that Bill Winter is someone we're happy won. He's a great candidate and I wish him all the best. Congratulations to Bill Winter, his campaign and to Colorado.

Tom Tancredo who is the incumbent that Bill Winter is challenging, is as big of an idiot as Lamar Smith. I hope to see them both defeated this November.

1. Waah!
How close was the vote tally? I know a lot of folks still voted for Bell in the MapChangers final round.

So close, but yet so far...

4. Major kudos to you, sonias
Without the help of people like you, John might not have made it to second place. He still gets a hefty $5,000 check from the MapChangers campaign, if I remember correctly.

Way to go, Sonia! Congratulations!

5. Yes both Chris Bell and John Courage get $5K each
So that's an extra 10 grand coming to Texas from out of state. Sure is nice to have money pour into Texas instead of getting it sucked out of our state.

2. Just saw this mention on BOR- we will get two fundraisers
The Hill article 7/12
Eyeing ’08, Warner woos his party with $860,500
In two rounds of voting, 9,000 visitors whittled a list of 50 candidates down to the 10 who will get $5,000 each from Forward Together. Warner will host fundraisers for the top two finalists, Bill Winter (Colo.) and John Courage (Texas).

Sweet!!!
:woohoo:

7. We did a great job but
We didn't win and I understand now that Warner is not hosting a fundraiser for both Bill Winter in CO and John here in Texas. The Hill made a mistake in that article. But there are talks to try to get him down here for other organizational events.
