ACPB Beerfest Sat., 7/15 at Rudyard's

Pete the Cromulent One is hosting his third annual Beerfest this Saturday night at Rudyard's (all details at the link). If you haven't attended in the past, well, it's a decidedly snark-riddled affair -- sorta like Pete's blog -- and not so much political. Also a younger crowd than we usually run with. We now know to wheel in with oxygen tanks in tow so we can keep up with the fast-talkers.

Those of you around Houston are powerfully encouraged to attend. You will get to meet the Ditties at the very least, and that could turn out to be the high point of your weekend. If your life is truly pathetic, that is.

9. Well, I learned my lesson.

I'll never rely on cell phones to try to meet up with anyone again. I won't even try to get somewhere without having specific directions and an address. I'm jealous. It sounds like y'all had a great time while I was wandering around cursing.

10. Well, I had some of the same problems

I went to a party before the thing at Rudyard's and I have never been so lost in my life. I thought my head would explode. This was a party I couldn't miss and so I HAD to find it. Eventually, I did. I made a very late and very grand entrance.

The Rudyard's thing, I almost gave up on. I was practically on top of the place (had totally followed some sort of pretend map in my head) when WHD's cell phone decided to work and she came out into the street and practically pulled me over into a parking space with her bare hands. :)
