Brunch was so much fun that I think we have to get together sooner rather than later.. plus before school starts is more fun for a pool party anyway!
VelmaD promised brownies and that has been making me hungry....umm yummy!

Okay.. so details.. I'm flexible but I was thinking Sunday, August 6, Potluck Lunch 12-3ish
Do we want a theme for our meal?
Democratic kids are welcome.. that includes the Van Os crew if they are in town!

The guy with the mike doing the MC biz was NoPasaran... VelmaD and GOPisEvil had their other names on. Sonias and I hide our real names in plain sight and make a lot of noise while we are at it but she had a conflict that night..Definitely introduce yourself next time and DEFINITELY come to the SOUTH AUSTIN (But YANKEE North of The River Austinites are Welcome TOO) POOL PARTY!!!

Sunday the 6th, better sooner than later. Theme - democratic sharks in the water. But it doesn't have to be too scary for the kids. I just think bloody marys with Tom DeLay stir sticks would be funny.

Hey if more people can make it that day over the 6th then I'll just have to be there in spirit. Somebody better bite off DeLay's head or at least put a stake through the part of his anatomy where a heart should be. Since I can't be the vampire slayer on the 27th.:cry:

15. September 17th is ok with me, but that's ACL weekend.

I don't think I will be doing ACL during the day, so I think I'll be free. The rest of September aside from Labor Day weekend is free for me.

22. Mixed emotions on DeLay

We'll toast to his being screwed by the 5th circuit court doing their job to uphold the law, and we'll see how much the federal court hurts us on the new maps. That DeLay whore has so much bad Karma that I'd like to see him burn in hell personally. Not that I want to join him mind you, I just want a remote camera where I can watch it from my comfortably cool above ground location.

P.S. I got some Vodka if you can't find some. Don't worry about Vodka. You got tequila for the follow up margaritas.

I was forgetful and forgot to put out the watermelon that was cooling in my fridge. Oops...I knew I forgot something!

Several other wonderful DUers were forgetful and left us a lot of clothes and stuff like sunscreen.. so far I have two pairs of white shorts , a gray t shirt, Velma D's spare bathing suit, sonias? sunscreen..maybe some other stuff which has yet to surface..

If I have an item that belongs to you PM me and I can bring your stuff to our next get together or I can bring it with me to work which is close to downtown. Or.. you can use it as an excuse to stop by and take a quick dip in the pool and check out all the flowers that just waited to start blooming again until tonight..
