Soechting has prostate cancer?
Anyone else heard this? We should all wish him well. He's given this party its backbone again.

SOECHTING DIAGNOSED WITH PROSTATE CANCER
More tests in store
Texas Democratic Party Chairman Charles Soechting was diagnosed with prostate cancer yesterday. He will be undergoing further tests to determine the specifics of his condition.

TDP Director Mike Lavigne said, "There are no changes in plans at the party. Soechting is otherwise healthy. Our election plans are proceeding on course."

1. Depends on what type it is.
Lotta guys live a long time after diagnosis. Some go pretty quick like Joe Papp of the New York Shakespeare Festival who lived, I think, 4 years after diagnosis. But I must add that his death came 6 months after he lost his favorite child to AIDS.

It ain't necessarily a killer. And pretty much every man, if he lives long enough, will get it.
