Ok, did anyone get a much-coveted debate ticket? |
|
We should know by now, right?

2. dg that wasn't one of the 100 tickets was it? |
|
Elected officials, which include SD representatives would have been invited guests anyway. I don't think they have announced the 100 winners yet.

6. Actually over 43,000 entered |
|
So even with 3 entries, chances weren't very good.

8. I know someone that did |

A woman from a local women's good government group I belong too. She is thrilled. She got a phone call and an e-mail last night. They told her, her ticket is non-transferable. So no scalped tickets either. Actually, that's a good thing.
So DUers - big screen watch parties here we come!
:woohoo:

While I admit I wanted one for myself, and am a bit disappointed, I think it's really neat that you actually know someone who got one!
Give her extra congratulations from a jealous fellow Texan.

But at least we know real people did get tickets. I can vouch for Barbara, she's real and she's a Democrat and a really hard working woman too. She deserved a ticket.

11. The Statesman is now reporting that an additional 100 tickets will be handed out |
|
http://www.statesman.com/blogs/content/shared-gen/blogs/austin/politics/entries/2008/02/20/democrats_give_away_100_more_t.htmlThe Texas Democratic Party, which already gave away 100 tickets to the presidential debate, has secured an additional 100 tickets, spokesman Hector Nieto said. The party drew an additional 100 names from the list of 43,000 who entered the original drawing, he said. :bounce:
