What do I do if my precinct chair doesn't show up?

He's sick and may or may not be able to attend tomorrow. We're not sure if there's anyone else that will be there that's ever been a precinct chair.

I was a precinct chair some 12 years ago, but there were only 4 people there then (don't laugh!). We had a bit more than double the amount of early voting than usual as of Friday in my precinct. Near 1500 vs. the usual 650ish. I expect we'll have more than 4 people attending this session.

If I do end up having to step in is there someplace I can brush up on procedures really fast?

Go to the TDP site for the Precinct convention info. It has all the things you need to download. Start with the ABCs of Conducting Your Precinct Convention

Call a neighbor to help you. You can do this, honestly. You're probably better informed than most people.

I've just finished printing all the info from the Texas Democrats website and I'm about start reading that next.

I have help lined up from the precinct chair's wife. Thank goodness!

I'll be fine. I just wish I had a bit more time to get my ducks in a row.
