I keep going back and forth. I'd like to try for it, but I'm not sure I'm "deserving," LOL.

1. Hell, I didn't even make COUNTY!

I was "uncommitted", and I didn't pick a candidate since there were more than enough delegates who actually wanted to support a candidate.

I will be at drunk caucus for state, since it's here and all. :D

3. I knew that as soon as we were down to two candidates, I was done.
Plus, there is always a need for volunteers, so I might do that at State. As long as I'm done in time to drink.

5. Kelly study up on at large positions
You have friends in the Obama campaign. As a matter of fact you start collecting as name names you can of women and minorities for Obama.

They have to get some of the positions. You're not left out by a long shot.

11. No vote for Garry Mauro either
That's not a vote for change. I'm casting a "no confidence" vote in Garry Mauro right now.

12. I did the DNC training back in January
The party had a training session back in January for people interested in the process. They went over the precinct convention process and that training was helpful when I ended up as chairman of my precinct convention.

They did tell us that the cost will be high. They well help you find a roommate but if you stay by yourself in a the delegation hotel, you may be out $2,000 to $3,000.

Only thing is I'm an alternate right now for the precint convention coming up... so crossing my fingers...

Anyone ever been a delegate to state before? How did you get elected to state? Heard my SD 17 is going to be crazy... more delegates than the place holds....oh, boy....

14. Welcome to DU - Texas forum houstontexas!
:hi:

Go check out the fact sheet thread about what happens at senate district/county conventions.

The world is run by those that show up. So show up to your county convention first. You never know, one of your delegates might not show up and you could take their place with full voting rights.

Good luck!
