She says people in EPA are environental outlaws and bandits
won't come to committee meetings
they want to undo what they're supposed to be doing

Looks back at the days when we had a surplus - now we have a deficit fo two generations

Each of us has to be a one person agent of change - we need to call, blockwalk

21. Excuse me, Jim
Our party here in Texas DID fall apart during the Clinton years, beginning in 1994 when Newt and the Contract swept into DC, and the last remaining Democrat statewide got swept out.

There haven't been any elected since.

Bill Clinton and the DLC made it all about him, shafting Democrats in Congress. The legislative wipeouts in in the Nineties were historical, and bad across in the country. They even focused more on Hillary's run for the Senate in 2000 rather than Al Gore's run for the presidency. Texas has taken it in the ear since that time as first Dick Armey and Tom DeLay tubed Jim Wright and established themselves as the Washington power center, while the Texas House and Senate turned crimson red and Tom Craddick modeled his own version of DeLay in Austin.

A succession of state party leaders, from Bill White to Molly Beth to Soechting and yes, all the way to Boyd, have "led" a state machine devoid of money, energy, and enthusiasm up to now. The "Dream Team" in 2002, made up of establishment candidates who fortunately could self-fund, was just another washout. In 2006 they took credit for a handful of seats in the Lege as 'tremendous victories' while abandoning any pretense of support for the most progressive -- the most populist -- group of candidates comprising a statewide ticket Texas has ever seen.

Of course they were no match for the well-heeled neocons and fascists -- from Kay Bailey to Dewhurst to Abbott -- who had millions in corporate largess compared to our one sugar daddy, Fred Baron. And true to form the TDP still made excuses for being broke by blaming the grassroots activists for not buying sustaining memberships.

Now just as the darkness is beginning to break and the long deep freeze of conservatism is beginning to thaw, here come the Clintons, threatening to fuck it up all over again.

Well, NOT THIS TIME. Thanks but no thanks, Bill and Hill. You can go away now.

18. Thx for the LIVE blogging, excellent job, crispini ;=D
It amazes me that sooo many democrats are claiming they won't vote at all in the GE, because the campaign has become so nasty.

I've heard DUers saying this, "I will NOT vote for Obama." "I will NOT vote for Clinton." "I WILL vote for McCain." "I WILL stay home."

How can they honestly make such claims when so much is at stake?.?.?

Do they honestly believe McCaineyBush will be the best choice for America?.?.?

The Supreme Court MATTERS.

The down ticket House and Senate seats MATTERS.

Even if we lose the White House having a Democratic Congress will hamper McCaineyBush's control somewhat to a minimum.

Thank you for going:hi:

19. I'm voting for the nominee MM
But I can still say F/U to Carville because he is an asshat. And he's not helping unite us. We have to vote big in November.

We can not have another four years of bush - McCain is Bush all over again. He's John "W" McCain.

Edited on Tue Mar-25-08 11:26 PM by MagickMuffin
I may not be happy about it if my candidate isn't the nominee, but I will do my part, whatever it takes, to take back America.

I haven't liked Carville from his partnership with his disgusting wife:puke:

Talk about sleeping with the enemy. I haven't trusted him at all after their holey union.

:hi:
