Impeach Perry?
The Stop the Trans Texas Corridor rally Saturday looked a lot milder on MSM than it really was. I didn't hear a peep about impeaching Perry on MSM, but that was the main chant.

Check out the speech by conservative Oklahoma Senator Randy Brogden.

Gosh, this TTC fight is surely making some strange bedfellows.

1. I support that idea - Impeach Perry
Can we impeach someone who holds a statewide public office like the Governor in Texas?

2. Governor James E. "Pa" Ferguson was impeached in 1917
It can be done... although the notion that Tom Craddick would push articles of impeachment through the House requires more imagination than I've got.

4. Pa and Ma were not good people

They're not anyone we want to hold up as good examples of good governors.

6. Good and Bad are relative terms, especially in Texas politics
In 1924 Miriam Ferguson beat the Ku Klux Klan-backed candidate in the primary, so even if she shouldn't be rated as "good", it certainly sounds like one could have done worse.

5. You are right - Craddick has to go first
We're more apt to just elect someone new in 2009 than impeach Perry with Craddick at the helm of the House.
