Austin: Debate watching party

Please join Austin For Kerry and the Travis County Democratic Party at Ruta Maya Coffee House (3601 S. Congress W 6th) at 7pm this Wednesday and watch Senator John Kerry deal the final blow to President Bush's dignity.

Nearly 600 people showed up at Mother Egan's to watch Friday's Town Hall debate, and we're expecting a huge crowd Wednesday so come early to grab a good seat and enjoy the show. We'll be setting up a second screen to accomodate the crowds.

In addition to watching the debate on a big screen, drinks and food are available, as well as plenty of Kerry/Edwards shirts, buttons, bumper-stickers, and other gear. We'll also have updates on more local events as well as opportunities to get involved in the local Democratic campaign.

2. i don't understand the address
3601 S. Congress isn't near 6th street, as far as I know. Is that a typo or do I misunderstand?

3. It's a typo
And Ruta Maya isn't exactly on South Congress anyway... it's actually behind Club Expose. But you'll know you're getting close when you see all the cars with Democratic bumperstickers.

9. bu$h III - the final stomping and guess the mystery bulge
Hey we need to play "guess the bulge" game like on Letterman. I can't wait for The Daily Show version of guess the bulge.

Or how about the 10 ten reasons bu$h needs a wire.

#10 he needs back up power - it's a battery (John Edwards version)
#9 he's a spineless idiot so he borrows cheney's spine
#8 it's really his pull string to repeat his endless stump phrases
this one via Steve Bell's excellent cartoon
http://www.guardian.co.uk/cartoons/stevebell/0,7371,1325238,00.html
#7 it's his keeper (B5) fan inside joke
....
And the number one answer
#1 it's a wire because he is too stupid to be president!!

http://www.salon.com/news/feature/2004/10/13/transmitter/index.html
Technical expert: Bush was wired
Speculation continues to run wild about President Bush's mystery bulge. Since Friday, when Salon first raised questions about the rectangular bulge that was visible under Bush's suit coat during the presidential debates, many observers in the press and on the Internet have wondered aloud whether the verbally and factually challenged president might be receiving coaching via a hidden electronic device.

---------------------

He's a cheater and a liar - imagine that.

12. Kerry kicked bu$h' ass once again
Even with a wire, the stupid moron president, proved that it was a mistake SCOTUS made in appointing him president. The majority of Americans people did not vote for this idiot and he did not win that election. And it is a mistake this country will correct on 11/02/04.

bu$h - you are so fired. Get packing cowboy.

We had a great turnout and great fun.
