Austin---Be the campaign manager Thursday
Dream of being a campaign manager?
Have great strategies for turning out voters?
Would you like to help formulate a grassroots, volunteer driven, cheap plan to sweep Travis County?

If the answer is YES, then join us this Thursday at 7:00 PM at the Unitarian Church (4700 Grover)!

Glen Maxey and the Austin For Change staff will lead a brainstorming meeting where we will develop the dozen new ideas of motivating, educating, and turning out to vote the 50% of Austin voters who have never cast a General Election ballot.

All we need is your enthusiasm and your ideas.

But don't think you can't be a part of this effort if you don't think you have anything to offer for the planning stage. We intend to walk out of the meeting room with people in charge of each project we decide to do.

Once we've developed the list of great ideas, we'll prioritize those with merit and put them into action. All decisions will be by consensus.

RULES:

1) This is a planning and idea meeting. Think big or out of the box. We will work on the details later.
2) Just because you propose it doesn't mean we can or will do it.
3) If it costs money, you need to say how you would pay for it too.
4) We ain't got no budget for TV or print ads, so this is NOT a message / advertisement / bumper sticker idea meeting.
5) This isn't a meeting for "us" to tell "them" what "they" should do or say.
6) This is a meeting for "us" to get "us" to do "whatever" we can do locally.
7) Everyone will get a polite hearing on their idea. But if it's off-the-wall crazy, we reserve the right to politely move along to the next idea or topic.
8) We are going to be out of the idea meeting in 90 minutes.
9) If we get nifty, keen great ideas and we are ready to roll on implementation, we will use the next hour for leaders to volunteer and work groups to organize to implement them.
