June State Convention Attendees & Friends - Esther's Follies 6/5

On Thursday, June 5, Democracy for Texas will have the hottest ticket in town! DFT supporters from all over the state will be here for the state convention, and we're going to get together to enjoy a special grassroots, heavy-on-political-humor performance of Esther's Follies, and raise some money for DFT at the same time. Whether or not you're a delegate to the convention, you're invited!

When: Thursday, June 5, 10 p.m.
Where: Esther's Follies, 525 East 6th Street (map)

Tickets: Until May 1, DFTers and their friends can buy tickets here for $25. After that, the price increases to $30.

1. Oh MANNNNNN....

This makes me homesick! But the weather is awesome right now. Lots of tulips and daffodils. We're supposed to have a light snow again today!

Don't miss the heat one bit. But boy, what I couldn't do with some Chuy's green enchiladas and some "false advertising in America!" Kerry Awn rules.

2. You're calling snow awesome April weather?

Girl you've been away too long already. We have beautiful spring weather here. Heck it was downright cold yesterday in Austin with temps in the mid 60s. We had a bit of a cold front blow in. Today the high is 79. Wish it would stay like this all summer.

3. Well, it HAS been beautiful.

This snow threat is annoying a lot of people, since they've already started getting to the garden centers and stocking up on goodies. The temps have been in the 50s and 60s the last 2 weeks or so.

I've been told that usually last of March/early April is the last snow (and we got hit with a major blizzard this year a few weeks back!). But seriously...the heat was killing me. This is so much better for me. And I can walk the dog again without passing out! :D

Next week, we'll announce DFT Night at Esther's Follies (10 p.m. Thursday, June 5) to the thousands of delegates attending the Democratic State Convention.
