Lena Guerrero dies
This is sad http://www.statesman.com/blogs/content/shared-gen/blogs/austin/politics/entries/2008/04/24/lena_guerrero_dies.html She went to a neighboring school and I debated her a couple of times during high school. She was a nice lady who made some stupid mistakes.

1. She went to my high school - I knew her
She was a good woman. And a good human being. Yes she made mistakes - we all do. Hers just got magnified to the extreme by that toad Karl Rove. At least Lena went back and got that college degree she claimed on her resume. Maybe it was after the fact, but she did complete it. That toad Rover tried but couldn't cut it. He never could reach that goal of his. It's probably the biggest failure that eats at him daily.

I'm sorry that Lena had to live in a time when Karl Rove even existed. She tried to make Texas a better world and for that I will always think well of her.

My condolences to her family. May Lena rest in peace. O8)

2. She made several mistakes...
The first I remember was when she was on the Austin City Council and voted to lower Austin's prevailing wage (her sister owns a big construction company in town.)

She also was one of the best Railroad Commissioners ever - I worked there when she went down over her education claims.

She was an amazing woman. She has suffered long and I hope she is at peace.

Cool. I went to Sharyland. Bill Ibbotson was in law school with me.

I debated Lena a couple of times in High School. She was a good person
