Tarrant County Obama Meet Up Tomorrow @ Pour House

Greetings Tarrant Obama!

Just a quick note to remind you that Wednesday, June 18th is our first monthly meeting since our state convention.

Now is when we must start getting our delegates ready for the national convention in Denver next month and begin preparing for the November election.

We need you help! So, please come to our meeting at 7 p.m. tomorrow night at the Pour House in Fort Worth.
And for Hillary supporters who will be joining us for the first time - welcome! We look forward to working with you in electing all Democrats this fall.

Wednesday evening's meeting will include a campaign update, adding members to our numerous committees, and preparing for our many upcoming events - such as July 4th, Unite for Change, voter registration, and much more. The summer months are for organizing and activating, and we need your involvement. Committees you can serve on include:

Volunteer coordination
Events
Communications
Fundraising
Outreach
Voter Registration

We also encourage those of you who are staunch Democrats (remember that we have Independents and even Republicans supporting Sen. Obama) to visit the Tarrant County Democratic Party website, http://www.tcdp.net/your-precinct/ and determine whether your precinct has or needs a precinct chair. The Party is currently holding in-depth Precinct Chair trainings for new and experienced Precinct Chairs and you are encouraged to get involved at this most basic level of the process. My precinct doesn't have a precinct chair :( so I plan on attending the meeting on Thursday in Hurst.

2. I'm considering filling in, that's why I wanted to attend the training

although I was going to attend the training anyway and found out today our precinct chair is vacant.

I called the TCDP and asked about how to file. I will make my decision after Thursday's meeting.

Since I did step up on March 4th to "act" as a precinct chair, and did call all the delegates to attend the SD convention, I think I could handle the challenge, although I sometimes am filled with doubts. I'm not a big people person, more of a recluse, but I'm trying to Change that part of my personality, and I don't want my precinct to not have a chair.

This election is just too important.

Wish me luck if I so choose the assignment.

7. I ended up being so busy at work,. that I forgot about it tonight!

I ended up staying late at work and then I was just headed home to pay the next door neighbor kid for mowing my lawn!
