John Culberson vs. John Martinez

No one probably knows anything about this race but it's the congressional race I will be voting on here in the 7th district. Without actually knowing anything about how the candidates are polling, I think Martinez is too liberal to be elected. I also think Culberson is too conservative to be from this planet! He favors abolishing the Department of Education and eliminating social security benefits for teachers(!?!?!)

1. Odds

Martinez is a great guy, but a long shot at best. Culberson likely will never be vulnerable to a Dem challenger because the 7th votes 75 - 85% Red. If there ever would be a chance, it would be in 2 years when the Katy Freeway expansion, which is Culberson's baby to suck up to the W. Houston/Katy Repubs, is under full nightmare stage of construction. But vote Martinez anyway. And by the way, whoever it is who keeps taking our Kerry signs, stop it!

2. I just met Martinez this afternoon! He came to the house..

asking if he could put up a yard sign. He made a good impression.
