1. North of Houston (The Woodlands)
The wind has been really beating the crap out of us for several hours now. I never thought it would be this strong this far inland. Some rain but nothing terrible.

We've got a very large branch from a huge old oak tree in our driveway, and our chimney cap is laying in the backyard. Lots of scary sounds, there must be some trees down around here. But we still have power - thanks to underground utilities, I'm guessing. My golden retriever dug up my new flower bed trying to dig under the screened porch yesterday (well before any wind or rain, but I think she could feel it coming and was freaking out). She and the cats are all indoors, and they are all skittish.

I really dread hearing what they will find when daylight comes to Galveston.

3. Hey neighbor
We lost power around 6:30am. and right now I think we may be gearing back up for some more winds. We lost a tree in the back, a bit of roof damage but so far nothing too serious.

Take care of yourself.

2. This makes me a little happier.
I was worried about our old house, but I guess it will be OK. Happiest days of my life were spent there.
