Austin DU votes for Kerry Edwards!
About 8 people were in line at the Brodie Home Depot to be the first to vote for Kerry/Edwards this morning at 7:00 a.m. Three of us were DUers NoPasaran, Shaz and I were the 2nd, 3rd and 4th votes for Kerry. There was another woman in front of us who also voted for Kerry/Edwards. They had some power problems at this location so we didn't get going until about 7:10

I have our time stamped receipts and pics to follow later. Now get out there and vote Austin. Do it now.

2. Keep in mind that this was at 7:00 am
Some of us are not morning people (me), so we all look a little sleepy. I tell you it was awesome to be the first to vote for Kerry/Edwards and against the bu$h regime.

The early bird gets the vote
University Democrats host UGL slumber party to be first in line to cast ballots
Early voting began this morning in Travis County, and the University Democrats want to be the first in line to cast their ballots.

Starting Sunday night at 9:30 p.m., the University Democrats sponsored an all-night slumber party in front of the Undergraduate Library called Voterama. The UGL is one of many early voting locations.

Students among first early voters
A group of UT students were among the first in Texas to cast their ballots early. They did so right at 7 a.m. at the Undergraduate Library on campus.

The group, University Democrats, spent Sunday night outside the library preparing to be the first at the ballot box.

The organization registered more than 7,000 new voters on the UT campus this year.

---------------

Keep voting Austin.

5. The boycott applies only to shopping, not voting
Actually, that Home Despot is one of my favorite stores. I will NEVER EVER buy so much as a nail at that damn Lowes they're trying to build down the street.

6. I voted at 1130-ish this morning.
I voted at the Albertson's at Lamar and Braker.

Take a guess as to for whom my votes were cast. ;-)

7. You cast a protest vote didn't you?
How were the lines? Heavy I hope. We need a huge turnout and Day 1 was good. They say twice as many people voted early on the first day as did the first day of 2000 early vote. The signs are good for a Kerry landslide in Travis.

"I don't Know Jack" Stick and "Toss" Baxter are going to be unemployed soon.
