DeLay to be in Austin on Monday

(10/21/04 - WASHINGTON) — House Majority Leader Tom DeLay has been subpoenaed to testify in a Texas civil lawsuit related to his role in using government resources to track down Democratic legislators who fled the state during last year's bitter redistricting dispute.
The subpoena was delivered to DeLay's lawyers in Houston on Wednesday after an attempt to serve DeLay personally failed, said Rep. Lon Burnam, the Democratic state lawmaker from Fort Worth who filed the lawsuit.

The subpoena calls for DeLay to give a deposition in Austin on Monday.

1. We need to find out where this will take place...

and show up for an all day protest. The last time he was going to be in Austin a protest was arranged. Well Tom being the great lover of public discussion moved the meeting to an earlier time at the last minute in order to avoid the protesters. This time we should be there from 6am till the sun shines no more.

2. Does he have to show up in person to be deposed?

If anyone has any info about where this might take place please let us know. We're already doing a big protest tomorrow and it will involve the bugman, so we have signs and people ready.


UNHAPPY ABOUT REDISTRICTING?
