I think it was on Air America and they interviewed the authors of a new book out about Delay. One of the writers told about how Delay was supposed to show up to meet with some kids (might even have been Boy Scouts). He showed--very late--and drunk as a skunk.

Wonder what they told the children.

2. They are better off if he does not show up at all.

I would use him as a object lesson to show what a BAD person looks like.
Then I would explain why.
