Protesters at Fox TV station protest NY Post cartoon

More than a dozen protesters responded to a call from the Austin branch of the NAACP to demonstrate outside of the Austin Fox TV station in protest of a New York Post cartoon that ran last week.

The New York Post is owned by Rupert Murdoch, who also owns the Fox Broadcasting Co.

The demonstrators stood quietly on the sidewalk in front of the station holding posters, including one that read "Racism is not humorous."

KTBC Fox 7 General Manager Mark Rodman was not immediately available for comment. Murdoch on Monday issued a statement apologizing for the cartoon.

Good for them! Wish I had known about it sooner. I might have joined them.
