Kay Bailey's Website implies that Gov. Goodhair is gay
The race has not really started yet. http://www.talkingpointsmemo.com/livewire/2009/07/hutchison-campaign-site-contains-hidden-phrase-rick-perry-gay.php?ref=fpblg
A web site for the gubernatorial campaign of Sen. Kay Bailey Hutchison (R-TX) included hidden phrases including "rick perry gay," a reporter from the Austin American-Statesman discovered today.

Hutchison officials said they used a tool that automatically generated keywords based on popular search terms. Such a tool could drive more web traffic to the site, StandByKay.com.

"We did not know these offensive word associations were being searched for by hundreds of thousands of Texans everyday nor do we condone the computer-generated existence on our Web site," Hutchison spokesman Jeff Sadosky told the Austin American-Statesman. He said the offending phrase will be removed.

Hutchison announced this week she will leave the Senate this fall in order to campaign against Gov. Rick Perry (R-TX). Rumors about Perry's sexuality have been circulated for years.

1. Log Cabin
This should lock up the Log Cabin Republican vote for Rick Perry. Their 3 votes could
prove critical in a contested primary.

2. Perry probably is gay
Not there is anything wrong with that. I bet there are quite a few closeted gay Texas Republicans who just hate themselves.

3. Who really cares if he is or isn't?
It's his business (despite the horrendous efforts he has done to make someone's orientation the State's business and in his empowering of groups who have a distinctly homophobic agenda, among other things).

I think the main story here is that pukes once again show they are willing to stoop to extremely petty politics that willingly belittle things such as someone's orientation. Once again it is "oops, mea culpa"

4. Hypocrites=Republicans
They pretend to be the party of "family values". Republicans wear their "values"(intolerance and hate) on their sleeves.
Prop. 2? Perry and his turds in the state legislature put that on the ballot. Remember?

Hutchison campaign yanks provocative Perry references
Perry camp cries foul as Web experts cast doubt on Hutchison's Web strategy.

U.S. Sen. Kay Bailey Hutchison's campaign removed a potentially provocative reference to Gov. Rick Perry from hidden text on one of its Web sites Thursday as Perry's campaign accused Hutchison of dirty politics.

Internet experts differed on whether Hutchison's camp is guilty of "black hat" behavior or was simply seeking an online edge.

The episode bubbled up between next year's expected GOP contenders for governor after the American-Statesman asked about the hidden text in the source code on the new site, www.standbykay.com.

Hutchison's campaign and the firm that built the site said the phrase, "rick perry gay," was innocently generated by a computer calculating popular Web searches by individuals looking up one or a combination of three terms: "Kay Bailey Hutchison," "Rick Perry" and "Texas."

"No campaign is in control of what comes up on Google or what other people are searching for," Hutchison spokesman Hans Klingler said.

Round one of the war goes to Perry with an assist by the Statesman.

Klingler on Republicans in 2010
BY RICHARD WHITTAKER
12/5/2008

At first glance, it's been a pretty good election year for Texas Republicans (especially when compared to the national party). Still, 2008 has been a wake-up call for the state party about how it campaigns. As it starts the long, slow buildup to the 2010 elections, Republican Party of Texas Communications Director Hans Klingler sees the party getting off its laurels. "We have to continue to not only talk about who is running but why they're running and what they believe in," he said.

blah, blah, blah....

Do you think Betty Brown can pronounce Klingler? Or should she insist he change his name and all his people learn to speak English?
