(WOW!) Dallas County Precinct #1143 has turned Democrat |
|
Here's the numbers for Precinct #1143, our home base:
PRESIDENT 2000 Results George W. Bush (R) - 770 Al Gore (D) - 651 2004 Results George W. Bush (R) - 814 John F. Kerry (D) - 832
US HOUSE - TEXAS DISTRICT 32 (Formerly 26) 2000 Results Richard Armey (R) - 776 Steve Love (D) - 617 2004 Results Pete Sessions (R) - 705 Martin Frost (D) - 899
TEXAS SUPREME COURT 2004 Results Scott Brister (R) - 778 David Van Os (D) - 778
SHERIFF - DALLAS COUNTY 2004 Results Danny Chandler (R) - 754 Lupe Valdez (D) - 820
All in all, this is very encouraging news for our precinct, and may possibly result in greater representation for us come the Senatorial Convention in 2006.
Boo-yah! We've started the process of turning Texas blue again! There is hope!

1. So, you're saying that voting FOR Bush, FOR Repub Armey, |
|
TYING the Repub & Dem S. Ct. Justices, FOR Dem. Frost and FOR Dem Valdez for Sheriff is being Democratic?
To be Democratic, the Dem. candidates need to, like, win.
Your precinct looks largely split, to me. Like the country is?
I'll look up my precinct and see how we did. (#1130)

I've included 2000 results along with the 2004 results for comparison. Double-check them with the numbers from dalcoelections.org as well.

3. My precinct voted Repub straight down the line. |
|
40% of them voted the straight Repub ticket. Not as many people voted straight Dem. ticket, probably because there simply aren't as many of us. Dems. vote straight ticket less often than Repubs, who KNOW they are supposed to stick together. They'll vote for any fool, as long as s/he is a Repub.

Keep building on that. I think you have a good chance of getting even better numbers next election.
