4. That's what it's about |
|
It was on my local news and I caught Gov. Goodhair saying they are heeding the call of their Heavenly Father.
So this is a religious crusade?

6. Maybe "Heavenly Father" is Dubya's new nickname..... |
|
...or something.
Not really surprising. Slick Rick is just pandering to his core constituency.
I sure hope that Hutchinson runs against him. I wanna see the fur flyin'.......

8. Yeah, but I like the idea of Hutch vs. Slick Rick |
|
I'm no Hutchinson fan either, I just wanna see them go at it. Actually it will be interesting to see how the whole thing plays out. Hutchinson has been positioning herself as the voice of the "moderate" GOP. I want to see just how much clout the religious right really has here. This will be a good test case for other moderate Republicans across the country.
I suspect they will tear her limb from limb and feed on her entrails.
Still, it will be fun to watch.

And if she's a moderate, I'm a radical of the highest order.

11. Rick Perry knows he is Texas size toast in this next election |
|
He has to pander. Shamelessly because he knows he is going to be total political toast in 2006.
Yep, this is Gods war. Fighting for Jesus Christ.
Onward Christian Soldiers!

* could obtain another term. He did. The same goes for Goodhair. In Texas, the "crusade" message sells. It's very popular down at the Baptist church I haven't attended in months. I got tired of hearing about "another Jesus"--the warmongering, @$$kicking one.
Plus, my conscience would have dictated at some point that I report the pastor to the IRS for violating 501(c)3 regulations. Not that the IRS would do anything. I'm sure it's been "purged" just like the Pentagon.
The only part of Goodhair's agenda with which he might encounter difficulties is the school choice/voucher push he is trying to make. The school finance issue will be front and center during the legislative session which begins this month.
Even my aforementioned Baptist brethren are heavily tied in to the local public school district. The pastor's on the school board and the school superintendent is a leading layman. Many of the choir members and much of the congregration are employed by one of the seven school districts in the area. I understand that the Southern Baptist Convention is facing a split over this issue. Public schools are of the devil. That's what a significant faction of the SBC now believes.

This was the LARGEST deployment to Iraq. Where in the hell was Bush? I mean...couldn't he have taken five minutes from vacation in Crawford to see these soilders off? He is such an asshole, and so is Rick SCARY!
