Texans: Let's bug Kay Bailey to stand up tomorrow! |
|
She's gonna run for governor, anyway, she doesn't have anything to lose.
Here's her contact info.
Web Site: hutchison.senate.gov E-mail: Contact Via 'Web Form.' (www.congress.org)
Washington Office: 284 Russell Senate Office Building Washington, D.C. 20510-4304 Phone: (202) 224-5922 Fax: (202) 224-0776
Main District Office: 10440 N. Central Expressway, #1160 Dallas, TX 75231 Phone: (214) 361-3500 Fax: (214) 361-3502
Here's my letter:
Dear Senator Hutchison: As your constituent, I am requesting that you please stand up with John Conyers and other Representatives to contest Ohio's electoral votes tomorrow.
Ohio's election was flawed and its citizens were disenfranchised. Nobody should have to wait ten hours to vote, as many Ohio citizens did. Secretary of State Blackwell has led the way with his maneuverings, starting back before the election when he tried to refuse voter registration forms because they were not printed on the correct weight of paper.
Refusing Ohio's electoral votes will not change the outcome of the election. But it will powerfully demonstrate that you support our citizens' right to vote. That you support a thorough investigation into the problems in our electoral process, and are committed to our right to vote.
As Rev. Jesse Jackson said, “If America is to be a champion of democracy abroad, it must clean up its elections at home. If it is to complain of fraudulent and dishonest election practices abroad, it cannot condone them at home. But more important, if our own elections are to be legitimate, then they must be honest, open, with high national standards.”
This is not a partisan issue. This is an American issue.
Thank you,
|

5. Nice letter, crispini... |
|
If you don't mind, I'll creatively plagiarize it and send it to our two clowns plus some moderate Republicans like Olympia Snowe.

Dear Senator Hutchison:
As one of your constituents, I respectfully request that you and Senator Cornyn join Representative John Conyers and other Representatives tomorrow to contest Ohio's electoral votes.
Ohio's election was flawed at best, and many of its citizens were effectively disenfranchised (some Ohio citizens reported waiting ten hours to vote).
The elections process under Secretary of State Blackwell is rife with conflicts of interest - as a campaign official for the Bush-Cheney campaign he should have recused himself from ANY involvement in the voting. His attempt to disqualify voter registration forms because they were not printed on the correct weight of paper is a prime example of his lack of objectivity.
Refusing Ohio's electoral votes will not change the outcome of the election. But it will powerfully demonstrate that you support our citizens' right to vote. That you support a thorough investigation into the problems in our electoral process, and are committed to our right to vote.
This is not a partisan issue. This is an American issue.
Thank you,

7. Have you written to her before? |
|
I'll write to her, but she is a worthless GOP b----
I've written MANY letters to her (in fact, I have a social security privitazation response in my hands now). She is a total brainless GOP robot! She cares nothing about her constituents!!! Has no spine or desire to do anything right for the good of the people at all!
We'll all get the same scripted garbage supporting what we oppose everytime. I doubt this time will be any different, but worth a try.
As a female myself, I find the likes of her disgusting to see a female with her opportunity to do something "right" having no spine or care for the good of her constituents at all!
She's be as bad or worse than Bush if governor too!
