3. LOL, I'm going next week.
Can I say how jealous I am that you guys get little books and we don't?

OTOH, we get to give out little green receipts, which is also cool. You always like to leave your voter with a souvenir. :P

5. Crispini we give out receipts too
Ours are white. We have a book with two part, carbon-less copy paper - ooh. The yellow copy (2nd copy) goes with the card to the registrar and the white (souvenir copy) goes to the person registering. It's more than a souvenir too. It is a legal right to vote. They can use that receipt to vote on election day, if they have not gotten their voter card yet. This was important for those people who registered exactly 30 days before the election. The registrar's office was so swapped with new registrations, that I'm sure some people may not have gotten their new cards.

So hang on to those receipts folks. They're legal voting tender.

with a green stub and she wasn't in the book -- she had to vote provisional, but she got to vote and I'm sure it counted.

Voter registrars rock!

I've always wanted a cheap little badge that said "DEPUTY," like a toy star -- anyone ever seen one of those? It'd be fun to wear. :7

7. Crispini, great minds think alike
DFT and Austin for Change thought about the same idea. These didn't scan great but I loved the Barney Fife image. You can get the toy wooden stars at craft stores like Michael's pretty cheaply and you just put a clear sticker on them or paint them. I did wear mine. I loved it.

Too funny.
