Austin/Central Texas Super Bowl Party
Edited on Thu Jan-27-05 09:13 PM by GOPisEvil
The place: My house
The date: Feb. 6th, Super Bowl Sunday, that is!
The time: Uh...whenever you wanna get here, but the game starts at 5:15ish. Those that arrive early may get drafted into cooking or prep duty though.

Let me know if you're coming, so I can know how much chow to plan for.

I'll PM directions to anyone that needs 'em...

Although I'm not the least bit sad the Cowboys are on the sidelines (Skins are my 2nd team).

PM me the directions and I'll be there. I don't know what time, though. Need to talk to my friends and see if they want to come by, too. I'll let you know if they do.

7. I used to feel guilty about eating deer
Yeah, I admit that I bought into that whole Disney cuteness thing. But last year a TV engineer I know had a couple of Kerry yard signs. Every morning he would find them pulled out of the ground. One night he resolved to stay up late and catch the culpret. It turned out that deer were pulling them out of the ground. Who knew deer were Repukes? Eat lead, Bambi!

23. Wow. Sorry I won't be able to make it.
GOPisEvil already knows why but I suppose I'll repeat it for everyone else who's gonna wonder. The Super Bowl falls right between my little brother's and nephew's birthdays. So I'm headed home this year for a joint birthday party for them/Super Bowl watching party with my family. I'm making them a birthday cake that looks like a football field complete with their names in the end zones and their ages as the team scores. :) Should be cute.

I'll miss you guys this year but sometimes family has to come first. :) I'll probably drop a call to the party though just to say hey to everyone.

Somebody please please please keep an eye on GOPisEvil around all that venison. He just about died on me in the car last year he got so sick.

And somebody please save me back some of that deer salami...hell I'll take any of the leftovers no one wants.

Hey I didn't do that. I was nowhere near your ceiling with any fireworks.

The forecast for Sunday is
Mostly Cloudy
High: 65
Low: 47

People should bring pillows to sit on too.

Heck, we always have too much food at these things. You have enough of a spread there to feed half of Austin, bearfan454. And we do thank you in advance. We've all heard the legendary stories of your culinary skills.

I think people should bring refreshments and maybe desserts.

39. It's just too damned difficult not to indulge
Everybody has food and drink flowing, and the next thing you know, the game's over, it's ten o'clock, and you're ripped. Last year I was in the hot tub watching the halftime show and somehow completely missed seeing Janet's nipple. So did everyone else at our gathering. I didn't even know the wardrobe malfunction occurred until I read about it online the next day.

I'm just getting too old for that Monday morning hangover. Suze used to take off the Monday after every year, and some years that still wasn't enough recuperative time. Tomorrow we'll go somewhere public, eat dinner, leave after halftime and be in bed by eight.

They need to start the game earlier (like that ever will happen).
