National GOP group cancels $1 million in Nethercutt ads
BWWAAAHAAHAAHAA!!!!!!!!!

By Jim Brunner and Alex Fryer
Seattle Times staff reporters

The National Republican Senatorial Committee (NRSC) has canceled more than $1 million worth of Seattle-area television advertising scheduled on behalf of U.S. Senate candidate George Nethercutt in the weeks leading up to the Nov. 2 election.
Advertising representatives at Seattle network affiliates KING, KIRO and KOMO confirmed that the committee this week canceled all the time it had reserved for ads between next week and Election Day.

Dan Allen, NRSC spokesman, said, "it doesn't mean we can't do it in the future. We're assessing on a daily basis the entire playing field. We know he is a running a very aggressive campaign."

The committee had reserved about $865,000 worth of advertising at KING and $300,000 at KOMO. An advertising representative at KIRO confirmed the ads on that station also had been canceled but did not provide a total dollar amount yesterday afternoon.

2. The ads were sick
I am so glad the Murray campaign swung back, and hard. The Nethercutt ads were just plain filth.

4. Not only sick, but grossly out of context
I haven't stopped steaming when I heard those ads about Sen. Murray and about OBL. I heard the entire context of her speech and she did make a cogent point about OBL's reputation in his community.

Nethercutt, the slime that he is, couldn't dispute the facts but distorted them to slip in his slimy agenda.

3. Even my token GOP friend was offended by the Osama ads
And even he says he won't vote for Nethercutt over it. He's going to not vote for a senate candidate now. :eyes:

5. Unfortunately the shitty ads are still on the air.
Of course, they'll only be taken seriously by those who think Ellen Craswell was actually qualified to be Governor, but they're still vomit inducing.

6. I remember the Craswell campaign
The area was full of her oversized campaign signs. However I remember some of my most politically conservative coworkers did not want an Evangelical Christian as Governer. She lost big time.
