Latest Ross - Riechert polls?
Anyone have any? Riechert is pretty popular there. I wonder if Ross can pull off the upset.

1. I can't figure out what record of achievement
Riechert is running on. It took him nearly 25 years to catch the Green River killer, have we got that kind of time to let him deal with problems??

2. My sense on Riechert
I sense that Riechert is truly an empty vessel who has embraced standard Republican rhetoric as a vehicle to election. I don't have a sense that he understands why he believes as he does. I am suspicious of Republicans in general but the "new-guys" who seemingly embrace the whole platform in one fell swoop sure seem to lack a core conviction that drives them.

I don't agree with Ross on a number of issues but my hope is here that he will win never-the less in this mostly republican district.

I think name recognition factors of both cancel each other out. Ross's ads are better than Reicherts.

I think it's a toss up

3. Don't know about polls
But according to an article in today's P-I Riechert has $74,000 more in the bank the Ross.

Republican Dave Reichert's congressional campaign has a $170,000 fund-raising edge over Democrat Dave Ross, according to campaign finance reports filed yesterday.

If it hadn't been for a hefty donation from a committee set up to support Reichert, Ross would have had a slight edge, with a total of $556,000 raised as of Sept. 30, the end of the latest reporting period for federal races.

But with more than $181,000 transferred to his campaign after the primary, Reichert's war chest topped $726,000.

With the Nov. 2 election just weeks away, Reichert also has more money in the bank: roughly $311,000 compared with Ross' $237,000

4. According to the Stranger
Ross is ahead by 10%. Unfortunately, no hard numbers or link to the real news story, but the Stranger's story is here.
