6. It got one star
in today's NY Daily news review, ending with:

"If you've seen the promo's, you've seen the best 10.5 has to offer. And, even at that, you've already wasted enough of your time."

Personally, I'm a little disappointed that there is any desire at all for disaster films in the current climate these past few years.
Maybe seeing the towers collapse from my rooftop was enough, but that's just me.

I was in L.A. when the movie 'Earthquake' came out. It was worth going to see it just to watch the city in which I had been sight-seeing crumble... in Sensurround!

12. that movie was soooooo bad
when the father daughter fell into the sink hole, my family was sitting on the couch cheering for the sink hole. When the father finally climbed out, we were hoping/thinking he should walk to the nearest acting class.

14. The way they portrayed Seattle and Space Needle was so wrong.
Edited on Tue May-04-04 03:41 AM by Cascadian
For starters, they made the Space Needle look as it if it was smackdab in downtown which it isn't. I am only a couple of blocks away from it BTW. Also, the Space Needle is not made of concrete. It is mostly steel and steel does not crack. The Space Needle can withstand such quakes since the heaviest part of the tower is in the center anchored in the ground. It was built to last. I also get the feeling that the movie was filmed mostly in Vancouver and around BC. Also, did anybody notice that Oregon was not affected? They bypassed Oregon and jumped right into California.

I just watched it for the entertainment value. It was cheesy but I suppose sometimes people just want that.
