SEATTLE - A KOMO 4 News, KOMO 1000 Radio and Seattle P-I poll of 800 voters (error rate +/- 3.5 percent) shows the Attorney General race too close to call, largely because of the huge block of undecided voters.
If the election were held Friday 41 percent would chose Republican Rob McKenna and 36 percent would cast their vote for Democrat Deborah Senn. But about one in five voters, or 19 percent, are undecided.
"Fortunately, there is a flurry of media attention now to this race in the last week and I expect two things will happen, some of those people will make up their minds and - number 2 - some of them won't vote in this race," said McKenna.
Senn told KOMO 4 News, "Attorney General is just not as highly visible as the President or the Governor or the U.S. Senate race. People are just turning their attention to our race so I have a lot of work to do in the next four days of this campaign."
