1. Results last updated on: 11/22/2004 5:03:00 PM
Christine Gregoire Democrat 219878 41.69%
Dino Rossi Republican 295665 56.06%
Ruth Bennett Libertarian 11817 2.24%

Thirteen more counties reporting and Rossi picking up and passing Gregoire for the net change--Rossi now up a NET fifteen votes. Of the remaining counties, Gregoire needs to pick up an average of just over 15 votes/county to reverse the county-certified outcome (technically, the state will not certify until Dec 2)

The latest ten counties to have completed and reported:

Adams--Gregoire +12 (1529), Rossi +27 (3486)
Benton--Gregoire +1 (19831), Rossi +2 (44890)
Chelan--Gregoire +3 (10077), Rossi +1 (18437)
Clallam--Gregoire +1 (16226), Rossi +1 (18832)
Douglas--Gregoire +2 (4359), Rossi +4 (8666)
Garfield--Gregoire +1 (428), Rossi +1 (840)
Island--Gregoire -0- (16888), Rossi +1 (19997)
Jefferson--Gregoire +1 (10642), Rossi -4 (7289)
Lewis--Gregoire +2 (10245), Rossi +4 (20842)
Lincoln--Gregoire -0- (1850), Rossi +1 (3686)
Mason--Gregoire +1 (11788), Rossi +2 (12507)
Stevens--Gregoire -0- (6992), Rossi -0- (12296)
Thurston--Gregoire +2 (58955), Rossi +4 (49413)

In any event, State Dem Chair Paul Berendt said about 2 hours ago that there WILL be a hand recount. GOP Chair is already on the airwaves trying to draw comparisons to FLA 2000. Bring 'em on, I say!

2. 2 More Counties--11/22/2004 6:14:00 PM
Add these, along with Rossi extending his net gain to 25 votes:

Clark--Gregoire +3 (72800), Rossi +7 (85894)
Ferry--Gregoire +3 (1275), Rossi +2 (1898)

The votes counted so far represent about 25% of the total for the state. The largest counties have yet to report (King, Snohomish, Pierce, Spokane, Kitsap, Whatcom), and they are split between the candidates (although, as you can see in the preceeding threads, this makes no difference whne it ocmes to finding additional votes...)

3. Perhaps another Grays Harbor situation will turn up
where votes were double-counted and Gregoire gained a net 250 votes during the original count. Or, uncounted ballots in King County could help. Thanks for posting these updates.
