Radio's Dave Ross eyes run for Congress

Dave Ross would be a "dynamite candidate," according to the
state's Democratic Party chairman.

State Democratic Party Chairman Paul Berendt is courting KIRO radio talk-show host Dave Ross to run for Congress in the suburban 8th District, and Ross says he hasn't ruled out the idea.

Berendt confirmed yesterday he's preparing to pay for a poll aimed at gauging how Ross might fare if he got into the race.

"In my career, I have never closed any doors. So when someone says, 'Can we at least look into it?' OK, fine," the 52-year-old Ross said from his Mercer Island home. "I can just assume that he thinks my name recognition would be a good thing."

So he would become the third Dem running in the 8th? I thought the state party was 100% behind Alex Alben... or was it Heidi Berends-Bennedict they were 100% behind? I know they were 100% behind SOMEONE, and now it looks as if they're 300% behind Unnamed Democrat :-)

3. The state party's supporting Alben
Heidi, while a sweetheart, is not a dynamite campaigner.

4. That's what I was talking about :-)
The state party says they support Alben, yet they're spending money to see how someone else would do? I think we'll take this seat, but the party isn't helping LOL.
